God, the heavenly Father was unknown to the world. And, our God existed above the world in an array of light and was that very heavenly source of light himself.
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."
I John 1:5
From the glorius unapproachable light God knew that the world below was full of darkness in both its character and being. God also saw the plight of the human race held in bondage to a broken world.
Still, the light of God and that light from God, emanated into the world so that from the beginning ... God's goodness could clearly be seen by those that were bound. The darkness responded by concealing the brightness and sought to bring blindness to mankind to continue the death and sadness ... not only to mankind ... but also to everything that was alive on the earth.
Since God was (and is) the source of life, and goodness, and mercy, and love, God sent his light to come into the realm of darkness to extinguish it. This light was his only Son Jesus Christ. Even as the Father was the light of heaven so his Son would be the light of the world.
"Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: He that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Bright and Morning Star, was sent into the world by the Father to save the world and rescue mankind from the darkness. He took our darkness and in exchange gave us his light.
To rescue us, Christ was manifested into the world and died on the cross to pay the price for our death. In order to give us his life, he gave up his own life to lay it down by dying on the cross for you and me. Jesus conquered death when God raised him from the dead to radiant life. This same victory can be ours if we confess the Lord Jesus and believe with the heart that God raised him from the dead.
This is why we call Jesus our Savior and why we proclaim that all who come to God must besaved by and through Jesus Christ. While Jesus acomplished this, he also sought to reveal his Father to us who believe on him and make the true God known to the world.
Do you know him today? You can.
We are all guilty of being part of the darkness in some way or another; in whom Satan is the god of this world. If there is one thing we can all agree on, it is that none of us are perfect, we have all done wrong in some way and toward others at some time.
Jesus asks us to identify ourselves truthfuly when the truth is such that all have fallen short and are guilty of sin. And, the wages of sin is death. Do you know anybody on earth who does not die? But, the true God is the God of the living. God asks us to come to the truth, not only of ourselves but also of the truth of God.
You see, you won't ever have to worry that God is a liar or is involved with lies. You can trust God and believe on his Son Jesus Christ for he is the way, the truth, and the life, for all those who come to him for the joy of their salvation.
Repent today. Ask God to give you forgiveness and receive God's forgiveness.
Also, receive God's salvation and seek to know God and all the wonderful things he has planned for those who love him and walk in his truth. God loves you and wants to have his love shine in your heart.
When you receive Jesus ... you will know the Father who is Love. You can then be in his kingdom and let your light so shine. God has a plan for this world and wants you to be in it. God is calling YOU!
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him".
What has been said...
is what has to be told.
